Our
autonomic nervous system determines our basic perception of and
responses to our environment. We can retrain our autonomics; doing so
allows us to see the opportunities and resources in any situation.
Creativity and compassion can become more available no matter the
circumstance. </p>

<p>We will use simple and easily memorable breathing,
movement, and awareness exercises to increase our capacity to adapt
with grace on all levels: physically, psychologically, and
spiritually.</p>

<p>No experience necessary. Buck 301, 5 Tuesday nights, 7-8pm 10/19-11/5.

What a wonderful summer!
As it winds down, I'm preparing the fall schedule. We've got a Systema Saturday on august 28th, and a weekend workshop September 11-12th with a guest instructor. See the <a href="http://www.body-knowledge.com/event/">Events page</a> for more details. Brunswick classes will restart at Bowdoin college in the next several weeks, schedule still up in the air.

My apologies to anyone caught in the confusion. The <a href="http://www.body-knowledge.com/systema/">current schedule</a> is now correct. It will apply for the next several weeks. There will be no class from July 15-30, as I will be on vacation; The August schedule will be posted before the end of the month.</p>

<p>Look out for Systema Saturdays, starting in August! These longer classes (3-4 hours) allow some deeper exploration and learning, and are great for getting beginners up to speed quickly, or those traveling from farther away.
Dates will be announced shortly.</p>

I'm under the weather, and needing to get ready for <a href="http://russianmartialart.com/main.php?page=week">my trip</a> this weekend. Both monday evening classes are cancelled. The wednesday portland class will run as usual.</p>

<p>The monday classes will not be held next week either, as I won't be back 'til tuesday.</p>

<p>The following week is Memorial Day; I'm rescheduling those to Tuesday night, so we don't miss 3 weeks running.</p>
